What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device that help a website function and understand usage. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) are covered by this policy.
Categories we use
This website sets no tracking cookies of its own. One functional cookie is set at the moment you choose a language. Everything else that is strictly necessary is kept in your browser’s local storage and never leaves your device.
- Essential, always on. Your cookie choice (
cl-cookie-consent, local storage, up to 12 months), a page-transition flag (cl-pt, session storage) and your conversation with the Studio Concierge (cl-concierge, session storage) so you can close and reopen the assistant without losing your place. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab. - Essential, only after you choose. Your language preference (
cl-lang, cookie, twelve months). It is set only when you click the language control and holds nothing beyondnloren. It is a cookie rather than local storage because our two studios sit on different domains, and otherwise your choice would not travel with you. It carries no identifier and we use it for nothing else. - Analytics, optional and off by default. Google Analytics 4 (property G-265BYY0LFM) gives us aggregate insight into how the site is used and sets the
_gaand_ga_<id>cookies. The script is only loaded after you consent; withdraw consent and measurement stops and those cookies are removed. - Embedded third-party content. This website currently embeds nothing from third parties, such as video, maps or a scheduler. This category only appears in your cookie preferences once something is actually embedded, and is off by default even then.
We use no marketing or advertising cookies, no social trackers and no fingerprinting. Fonts are served from our own server, so no data goes to a third party for them.
Managing cookies
On your first visit we ask for a choice before anything optional loads. You can accept everything, choose essential only, or set your preferences per category. Both choices are equally reachable and we use no pre-ticked boxes. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via Cookie preferences in the footer and on the Legal page, and through your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge). Disabling essential storage may affect how the site works.
Retention
Essential session storage is cleared when you close the tab. Analytics cookies are kept for at most 26 months. Your consent choice is stored locally for at most 12 months, after which we ask again.
Connections to our second studio
This site contains a doorway into AI LAB, our second studio. To make that transition feel immediate, your browser requests the AI LAB home page in advance as soon as you open a page carrying that doorway. This happens before you make a cookie choice.
This is not a third party: AI LAB is an environment of The Creativity Lab itself. Such a preparatory request runs no scripts and sets no cookies. AI LAB sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics. If you would rather avoid the request, you can disable prefetching in your browser or use a content blocker. The doorway keeps working either way.
